In 2002, the partners at Syndego, then known as Bio Polymers, won the prestigious NAHB (National Association of Home Builders)“Innovative Housing Technology Award” dubbed “Green with Envy” for the first commercially available bio-based spray foam insulation product “Healthy Seal”
The giant chemical and insulation companies said it couldn’t be done, we didn’t understand why, so we did it. Today may large spray foam insulation companies manufacture and market high bio-content products.
Later that summer, we got a call from RJ Alderman who asked that we come down to Texas to determine if we could find a way to incorporate the PCM product he was working on in a polyurethane foam blanket. We came away from that meeting wanting to better understand PCMs and their promise. As we delved deeper into the technology, it became clear that we had, what if adequately developed, could be the most important new housing technology in 50 years.
Today, Syndego Salt Hydrate PCMs are the most fully developed PCM on the market. They are the culmination of more than 40 years of research and dozens of patents.
